I’m sitting at our dining table tapping away as I try to make sense of website design. There’s a gentle breeze floating in with the fragrance of our wisteria that drapes over an arbour nearby. I’m trying to stay focused, but I can’t help but gaze out the window, to where I’d rather be. OUTSIDE. Most small business owners will agree that in order to be savvy during these early years of a start up, you have to wear many, many hats. So today, one of those hats I’m wearing is website designer. Now the problem with this theory is that you have to be ok with ‘something’ is better than nothing. Whilst I may think I’m totally rocking it, the true designers out there may have other opinions!! But for now, we are going with eighty percent of something is better than one hundred percent of nothing. Ultimately, having an online presence in todays worlds is a must. So here we are!!
Our website has been created for you. A place where we can express all that we do here at Gilldora Grove. We want it to be playful, creative, and an informal look under the cover of all that happens here on our farm.
Originally, Gilldora Grove began as our lime orchard, but now it is so much more than that. Transformed into a certified organic orchard, our farm management practices reflect our quest to regenerate for the next generation. And its not just our passion and vision for our own farm that drives us. Our regen contracting business was born as we could see a need in our local community to help others on their regen farming journey. Part of our mission is to re forest our farm in such a way that helps with biodiversity whist still allowing cattle to graze. With this in mind, we started an advanced tree nursery, stocking and nurturing mostly fast growing natives used for hedging, shade or as a feature.
As we approach the most wonderful time of the year, Gilldora Grove is collaborating with Home by De Vere Design Co and Belli Beef to bring you a series of Christmas Wreath workshops! This is a wonderful way to get a few friends together, sip on some bubbles whist enjoying a treat, and create your very own masterpiece to take home and install. If you think you’re not creative, don’t worry! We’ve got you! We’ll be there to guide you through the process of creating your own festive wreath!
